Snap Transmissions

My brakes failed on the way into Austin and this was the first shop I came across. They don't do brakes at this location but still dropped what they were doing to help us out.

I was quoted a certain price for a rebuild and I sent my girlfriend to go give him the money days later and he told her it was $1000 more than I was told. He'll have you walk in the shop to his office and walk under vehicles that are up on lifts.

Outstanding service. I got my transmission rebuilt here, I have waited two years to write this review. So for two years now, the transmission re-built on my 2008 Ford pick-up runs like as if it was new from the factory. Not to mention that they gave me a great deal on the job. Well done guys, I really can’t thank y’all enough, because at that time I was getting ready to junk my truck after the transmission went and I had little money to get a new one. Thank you.

THEY TORE OUR ALTERNATOR BELT!! I went in to have my transmission checked due to slight slippage. When we got there the mechanic took our car for a "test drive" and we waited in the office. A few moments later another mechanic comes in and asks about previous work we've had done to the car. We haven't had any work done in at least 4 months. Then he proceeded on by taking us to the car and telling us there is no problem with the transmission but it just so happens that our alternator belt is torn into 2 pieces and shredded to the point where it shouldn't be driveable. It didn't make any sense since we have been driving the car with absolutely no alternator proble…

This place is Horrible . I went in to get my transmission scanned to see if I need a fluid flush. 10 min after the mechanic took my keys my serpentine belt was cut. And he said it would cost 150 to replace. So he basically cut the belt so he can make a sale. The car was fine untill I arrived at snap transmission. Now all the lights are on. I asked him why he cut it and he had no answers but how he thought it was strange how it messed up as soon as he drove it and that I'm lucky to be there. What a joke of a shop!! super unethical!!!!
